The bookish monkey is a small bronze statuette of a monkey reading a book, purchased from a shop in Rennes a few years ago. He sits on my desk in front of my computer monitor, and reminds me periodically that I could be actually reading a book instead of editing this blog.

I’m a bookseller in Manchester in the north-west of England. Any views expressed here are personal to me and do not represent those of my employer.
